The East of England Co-op Band was formed in 1982 but was known as the Ipswich Town Band. In 1992 the band was delighted to accept sponsorship from the Ipswich and Norwich Co-operative Society, now known as the East of England Co-operative Society, and has been a thriving contesting band throughout this time.
The band currently competes in the 1st Section of the National Brass band association but has on a number of occasions been promoted into the Championship section. As well as contesting we perform a number of concerts across East Anglia at varied events from formal concerts in churches and the like, village fetes and we are also able to offer Bavarian style Oompah band events. Whether it be for local fundraising or charity events we can be booked to perform. If you would like to talk to us about a potential booking please contact us through this site.
With the continued and generous support we hope to enjoy may more years of high-quality music-making.
